NETWORK MARKETING STORY


(This is a little of my Network Marketing Story beginning in 1974).


I was taken to a product demonstration at a Holiday Inn with almost 50 other people in the room, and some old guy that was a "mortician" (I'm not kidding you), was the big dog in the house.

He went through approximately a half hour product demonstration, and then told us that if we would join his particular company, all of our family and friends would want to join, and very soon we would have more money than we knew what to do with.

Out came the chalkboard and he started drawing circles. The dollar signs in my head were ringing like a cash register. I fell in love with circles. I quickly understood that by using multiples of 3 we could multiply our efforts and money beyond our wildest dreams. I already had My Network Marketing Story written before I left that Meeting.

I was going to retire before I was 25 years old. Heck, everybody I knew was going to retire, and everybody they knew. All I could think was, why are you still talking? Let me get out there and get these people signed up! Your holding up my network marketing story.

Reality check #1. What I thought was a no-brainer even a blind man could see people were treating me like I had the plague. My excitement and enthusiasm for my beloved circles was waning fast.

As I look back Now I realize I was trying to sell them My dream and in reality My dream had nothing to do with Their Dreams. You don't need to sell people their dreams, Most of the time You just need to HELP them REMEMBER HOW TO DREAM.

How could this be, was I the only one that had vision enough to see this? How could someone turn down that much money, and look at retiring within a few months, without ever wanting to see the entire program?

The next six months I drew circles, night after night for anyone that would sit still long enough for me to break out my chalk board. I did convince three couples to join my Network Marketing Business.

I remember the celebrations with my up line after each victory, who would meet me at a restaurant outside of La Jolla, Ca. After a slap on the back and couple of high fives, they would send me back out to do the same thing again.

Reality check # 2. All of a sudden I realized my new business partners was tied to my dreams not their own dreams. I was spending more time trying to pump them up than I was recruiting.

You see I had missed the point that my Downline's Dreams was more important to them than My Dreams.


I'd walk in and find store bought dish soap and laundry detergent setting on their counters. This was definitely not in my network marketing story I had written a couple of months before.

How could this be, didn't they understand the circles? Were the circles only talking to me? My first couple quit, and our relationship was very strained to say the least, they still allowed me to come over. However I was never to speak of the business or the product line again.

I moved back to Michigan in 1976, bringing with me a hope that I could revive my Network Marketing Business with friends and family in Michigan. My up line handed me off to a wonderful couple that had some new ideas and it seemed I was on my way again.

The scenario played out over and over again. Even my parents thought I'd gone out of my mind, and believed I'd gotten too much California sunshine. Does any of this sound familiar?

I told you this story just to let you know, I've been there, and done that. Actually, I have repeated variations of this scenario a few different times throughout my life.

What is it about "Network Marketing" that won't let me go? I know it works; but I also know we are living in the 21st Century.

We can use multimedia to present Our Business, But only you can find out What Their needs are and Show them How your Business will help them reach Their GOALS.

I May be Crazy. But, as a Network Marketer the way Network Marketing was done in the early 1940's (1st years Network Marketing was introduced) may have applied 60 some years ago, but what does it have to do with today's Network Marketer?


Today we have what has been coined Pre-Selling, pre-selling is basically the giving Your prospect so much Information You ANSWER all or most of their Questions before you even speak to them.

Now with the Internet this is accomplished with websites, using Your duplicable Corporate Website and a traffic generating website that funnels Keyword Targeted Traffic to it.



Heck I got an e-mail the other day from Nigeria, and this Dr. Maxwell has found that I am upstanding and honest enough to help him move millions of dollars from some lost bank account, to my bank account for a $1,200,000.00 helper's fee.


I thought it was lost???
You get the idea…
I hope!

So even if you have a P.O. Box on the dark side of the moon don't let that hinder you. As long as you have an internet connection, you will be able to fast track your Network Marketing Business.



You will be able to write your own network marketing story and I'm sure it will not take you long to realize your not in Kansas anymore Todo.

Your Prospects Dreams may be as simple as an extra $300.00 a month to pay bills, or you may find the person that has dreams larger than life it self.

What Ever Their Dreams just remember Your Website is only a tool, It will NEVER REPLACE YOU.

What will Your Network Marketing Story be? I KNOW my Network Marketing Story is Evolving and I have no idea how it will end.
