Search Engine Optimizing today is basically a SEO Counterfeit and when the Search Engines catch up with a counterfeit site, It is banished to Siberia NEVER TO BE HEARD FROM AGAIN. Don't spend your time looking over your shoulder; spend it building Your Business. Anyone can learn Website Optimization (WSO) I promise it is much easier than SEO and no one will try to sell you a single product to make it work.
Once you understand what the Search Engines are really looking for, "and you give it to them" page ranking and web traffic almost becomes a non issue.
It's really not Us against the Search Engines, what it boils down to is you need to learn how to "Completely Optimize Your Website with Content" (WSO). This is a huge step in becoming a permanent fixture on the Web, and the Search Engines (WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT). An SEO'd site may have got by some of the
Algorithm changes of the past.
BUT more and more of the Search Engines emphasis is being placed on the off page Algorithms (time your searchers spend on your site, is the searcher digging deeper into your site for more information). And the SEOers are taking a Beating in the Trenches Because of this. They can't figure out how to fake the human's reaction to a sub-par Website and this is where the Search Engines are heading today.
What the modern day SEOers are promoting is the SEO Counterfeit of reality based Websites. The counterfeit site may not look overly suspicious at first glance but to the human eye, it's just lacking something and it gets rejected as another SPAMY Website.
Sure they try to class up the site up with pop-ups and flashing banners the size of billboards but the all telling "LACK of CONTENT" is there for everyone to see.
We all deal with these sites when we search the web for information and it seems the (SERP) Search Engine Result Pages has everything except, but what we are looking for. This is what the Search Engines are working to eradicate from their searches, Spamy Non-related sites that waste everyone's valuable time. Now the Dictionaries' definition of Counterfeit as applies here is as follows;
#1. To make a copy of, usually with the intent to defraud.
#2. To make fraudulent copies of something valuable.
#3. Made in imitation of what is genuine with the intent to defraud.
Now if every time you searched your dictionary for a word and it gave you everything but what you were looking for, you would never use it again, Right.
The Search Engines are working on this very problem and when the www. comes of age in the not to distant future we will all talk about Search Engine Optimization in past tenses phrases like "Remember When...???"
It's the SEOer's mission to keep all of these SEO Counterfeit sites in front of the searcher through manipulation of the Search Engines.
The Search Engines goal is to give you "their customer" the most accurate information possible.
I really believe people can better their lives with quality information and a constant striving to learn.
You have a choice to build a Content Rich Website or a SEO Counterfeit site, but the counterfeit site will cost you more money than Your legitimate site to maintain.
